Is it safe and private to convert my images here?
Yes. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so your images are never uploaded anywhere. You can confirm this by checking your browser's Network tab, or by going offline after the page loads, it still works. Input files are read from browser memory and the output is created locally for your download. AntiUpload does not send file bytes, names, sizes, page counts, contents, passwords, or generated outputs through analytics or advertising requests.
Will converting JPG to PNG improve quality?
No. PNG is lossless, but the JPG data is already lossy — you cannot recover detail that was discarded during original compression. Converting to PNG just prevents further quality loss.
Is WebP supported everywhere?
Every modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari 14+, Edge) supports WebP. Older software may not — fall back to JPG if universal compatibility is needed.
Can I convert from GIF or HEIC?
HEIC and HEIF (the format iPhones shoot in) are fully supported as input — they're decoded locally with libheif and saved as JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. BMP files work as input too. GIF is the one format not currently accepted. So the full input list is JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, HEIF and BMP; the output choices are JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF.
Can I convert multiple images at once?
Yes. You can drop in a batch of images and convert them together in one go. Every file is processed locally in your browser, so even a large batch never gets uploaded to a server.
How do I convert an iPhone HEIC photo to JPG or PNG on Windows?

What formats can this tool output?
You can convert to JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. HEIC is accepted as an input but isn't offered as an output, because no in-browser encoder can write HEIC — converting a HEIC photo gives you a JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF instead.

Drop your image in — JPG, PNG, WebP, even a HEIC or BMP — and pick AVIF as the target format. AVIF is the newest of the four output formats and typically lands around half the size of a JPG at similar quality. The encode runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
How do I convert PNG to AVIF?
Add your PNG, choose AVIF as the output, and convert. The PNG is decoded and re-encoded as AVIF on your device. AVIF is much smaller than PNG for photographic content, though for flat graphics with hard edges PNG can still win on size — it's worth comparing both.
Can I convert AVIF to JPG?
Yes. AVIF is one of the accepted input formats, so drop the .avif file in and pick JPG as the target. It's re-encoded locally at a high quality setting — useful when an older app or upload form doesn't recognise AVIF yet.
