About Split PDF

Split PDF keeps the complete file workflow inside this browser tab. Your selected file, its name, contents, settings, and generated output are not sent to AntiUpload or a cloud conversion service. Ads and aggregate traffic analytics stay outside the processing boundary and receive no file object or working buffer.

Split PDF divides a document by visual page selection, typed ranges, fixed page intervals, one page per file, detected blank separators, top-level bookmarks, or a maximum generated-file size. Size-bounded mode measures serialized PDF parts instead of guessing from page count, so image-heavy pages are handled by their real byte cost.

The output preserves original page quality, fonts, graphics, and page links without rasterizing. When multiple files are produced, they are delivered together in a ZIP file.

How it works

A multi-page scanned PDF with one receipt per page becomes one file per receipt, ready for per-transaction archiving.
Breaking a long PDF for email attachments
Email services often limit attachments to 25 MB. Choose maximum file size and make measured parts that stay under the cap whenever an individual page allows it.
Preparing pages for print or binding
Print shops sometimes want each section as a separate file. Split by chapter, then send the sections individually.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe and private to split a confidential PDF here?
Yes. The split happens entirely in your browser, so your PDF is never uploaded to a server. You can confirm this in your browser's Network tab, or disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works. Input files are read from browser memory and the output is created locally for your download. AntiUpload does not send file bytes, names, sizes, page counts, contents, passwords, or generated outputs through analytics or advertising requests.
How do I specify a page range?
Use the format "start-end" (e.g. "1-10" for the first 10 pages, or "25-50" for pages 25 through 50). Ranges are inclusive on both ends.
Can I split into single pages?
Yes. Choose 'One PDF per page' and the results are bundled together in a ZIP.
Can I split a PDF into parts under a specific file size?
Yes. Choose Split by maximum file size and enter 1–100 MB (or pick a preset). The tool serializes candidate parts and packs the largest consecutive page group that fits. If one page is larger than the limit by itself, that page is kept alone and may exceed the target.
Why do I get a .zip file sometimes and a .pdf other times?
If the split produces multiple files, they are bundled into a .zip for convenient download. If you extract a single range (one output), you get a .pdf directly.
Does splitting reduce page quality?
No. Pages are copied as-is — no re-rendering. Output pages are identical to the originals.
Does this work on Windows, Mac, iPhone, and Android?
Yes. It runs in any modern web browser, so the same page works on Windows, Mac, iPhone, and Android with no app to install.
Is there a maximum file size for the PDF I can split?
There's no fixed upload limit because nothing is uploaded; the work runs locally in your browser. The practical ceiling is your device's memory, so very large PDFs may be slower on phones or older machines.
