About Add Text to Video
Add Text to Video keeps the complete file workflow inside this browser tab. Your selected file, its name, contents, settings, and generated output are not sent to AntiUpload or a cloud conversion service. Ads and aggregate traffic analytics stay outside the processing boundary and receive no file object or working buffer.
AntiUpload's Add Text to Video tool draws a title, label, callout, or attribution directly into an MP4-family video. Choose the text, five size levels, regular/semibold/bold weight, none/soft/strong shadow, exact foreground and background colours, background opacity, and when the overlay appears and disappears.
Nine positions cover the complete top/middle/bottom by left/centre/right grid while keeping a safe margin from frame edges. A responsive mock frame reflects styling and placement before export. Text wraps automatically, and an unusually long word shrinks until it fits instead of spilling outside the video.
The render uses the browser WebCodecs canvas path on current Chrome, Edge, and Safari. Video frames are decoded, painted, and hardware-encoded locally; the source audio is carried into the output. MP4, MOV, and M4V inputs return a broadly compatible MP4 with no upload or watermark.
How it works
- Choose an MP4-family videoPick MP4, MOV, or M4V. The file stays on your device and is decoded by the browser.
- Write and style the textEnter up to 200 characters, choose one of five sizes, three weights, three shadow levels, and exact text/background colours with optional opacity.
- Place and time the overlayChoose one of nine safe-area positions, check the live mock frame, and optionally capture start/end times from the local video preview. Invalid time order is flagged before export.
- Export locallyWebCodecs draws the overlay into each active frame and returns an MP4 with the original audio.
