Overlay Image on Video

Place a timed PNG, JPG, or WebP with exact size/opacity, nine safe-area positions, and a local composite preview.

This workflow reads the selected media from browser memory and creates the download locally. AntiUpload, analytics, and ads receive neither the file nor its working buffers.

About Overlay Image on Video

Overlay Image on Video keeps the complete file workflow inside this browser tab. Your selected file, its name, contents, settings, and generated output are not sent to AntiUpload or a cloud conversion service. Ads and aggregate traffic analytics stay outside the processing boundary and receive no file object or working buffer.

AntiUpload's Overlay Image on Video tool places a PNG, JPG, or WebP over MP4-family footage. It covers logos, product images, diagrams, corner badges, sponsor marks, and user-created watermarks without sending either asset to a cloud editor.

Choose any point in the complete top/middle/bottom by left/centre/right grid, set exact image width from 5% to 80% of the frame, adjust opacity from 5% to 100%, and optionally capture a start/end interval from the source player. Reversed times are flagged before export.

A muted local composite preview places the selected image over playable source video with the same width, opacity, and safe margins as export. The source image aspect ratio is preserved, and tall artwork is capped at 80% of frame height so it remains inside the video.

The browser decodes each source frame, draws the image through Canvas 2D, and hardware-encodes an MP4 through WebCodecs. Transparent PNG pixels remain transparent, source audio is carried into the output, and the corrected display-dimension path keeps the original visible frame size.

How it works

  1. Choose MP4, MOV, or M4VPick the video first. It stays on your device for the entire render.
  2. Attach an imageChoose PNG for transparency, or JPG/WebP for ordinary artwork and photos.
  3. Set placement, size, opacity, and timingChoose one of nine safe-area positions, use sliders or exact values, and optionally capture start/end timestamps from the source preview.
  4. Preview and render locallyReview the playable composite, then render. The image is drawn into active frames and exported as MP4 with the video audio.

When to use Overlay Image on Video

Add a transparent logo to a corner
Use a PNG at modest width and opacity so branding stays visible without covering the subject.
Show a product image during one section
Center an image only for the seconds where it is discussed, then let the original footage continue.
Add a sponsor badge or source mark
Place a small image within the top or bottom safe margin for the whole clip.
Overlay a diagram on a training video
Use a larger centered image and timed visibility to support one explanation without a desktop editor.

Frequently asked questions

Are the video and image uploaded?
No. Both files are decoded and composited locally in your browser, and the MP4 output never passes through AntiUpload servers. Input files are read from browser memory and the output is created locally for your download. AntiUpload does not send file bytes, names, sizes, page counts, contents, passwords, or generated outputs through analytics or advertising requests.
Do transparent PNG logos work?
Yes. Canvas preserves PNG alpha, and the opacity control scales the entire image from 5% to 100%.
Can the image appear for only part of the video?
Yes. Set the start and optional end time in seconds. Leave End blank to keep it visible through the rest of the video.
Will the overlay stretch?
No. Its original aspect ratio is preserved. Very tall artwork is reduced so its height stays within 80% of the frame.
Can I preview the image placement before rendering?
Yes. Once both files are selected, a muted playable composite reflects image width, opacity, and all nine safe-area positions. Use the source player above it to capture timing.
