Add Watermark

Stamp text or image watermark on every page — text presets, tile mode, custom angle

This workflow reads the selected file from browser memory and creates the download locally. AntiUpload, analytics, and ads receive neither the file nor its working buffers.

About Add Watermark

Add Watermark keeps the complete file workflow inside this browser tab. Your selected file, its name, contents, settings, and generated output are not sent to AntiUpload or a cloud conversion service. Ads and aggregate traffic analytics stay outside the processing boundary and receive no file object or working buffer.

Add Watermark stamps a semi-transparent text watermark diagonally across every page of a PDF. Use it to mark documents as CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, FOR REVIEW, or any custom text — a common requirement for legal documents, contracts under negotiation, and internal review copies.

Watermarking happens in your browser — the source PDF is never uploaded. The watermark is rendered into the PDF's page content, making it part of the document (not easily removable by opening in another viewer).

How it works

  1. Upload your PDFDrop the file to watermark.
  2. Enter the watermark textCommon options: "CONFIDENTIAL", "DRAFT", "COPY", or any custom phrase up to ~30 characters.
  3. Click WatermarkThe tool renders the text diagonally across every page, semi-transparent so underlying content remains readable.

When to use Add Watermark

Marking drafts so they are not mistaken for final versions
A "DRAFT" watermark on every page of a contract prevents the wrong version from being signed or circulated as final.
Flagging confidential documents
Legal and financial documents often need a "CONFIDENTIAL" stamp before sharing externally. The watermark is visible on every page.
Identifying copies
Mark photocopied or redistributed documents with "COPY" so the original remains distinguishable.

Frequently asked questions

Does Add Watermark upload or share my files?
No. Input files are read from browser memory and the output is created locally for your download. AntiUpload does not send file bytes, names, sizes, page counts, contents, passwords, or generated outputs through analytics or advertising requests.
Can I use a custom watermark text?
Yes — type anything in the text field. Shorter phrases render better than long sentences.
Can I use an image watermark (logo)?
Image watermarks are on the roadmap. For now, only text is supported.
How transparent is the watermark?
Approximately 30% opacity — visible but doesn't obscure the document text beneath.
Can the watermark be removed later?
The watermark is rasterized into the page content, so it can't be simply unchecked. In theory, someone with PDF-editing tools could manually remove it, but for everyday sharing it is effectively permanent.
Is it safe to add a watermark to a confidential PDF?
Yes. The watermarking happens entirely in your browser, so your PDF is never uploaded to a server. You can confirm this by checking the Network tab or disconnecting from the internet after the page loads.
Can I watermark multiple PDFs at once?
Yes. You can add multiple PDFs and stamp the same watermark across all of them in one batch, and they're all processed locally on your device.
How do I tile a watermark across the whole page or set a custom angle?
Turn on tile mode to repeat the watermark across the entire page, and use the angle control to rotate it (for example, a diagonal CONFIDENTIAL stamp). Both apply to every page of the PDF.
